Track and Field
The Mercer Island Bluebirds Track and Field Team is open to kids grades K-8th and all abilities are welcome! Kids can compete in sprint, middle distance, long distance and field events.
Spring 2024 Practice Schedule
March 26th-June 20th or *July 23th (for those who wish to compete in the Junior Olympics)
Tuesday and Thursday 4:30pm-5:45pm at Luther Burbank Park
Saturday 8:30-9:45am at Islander Middle School

May 5 – Rainier Beach Track Club Meet, West Seattle Stadium
May 10th Mercer Miles, Islander Middle School
May 26- Rain City Flyers, Ingraham High School
June 1 – Cascade Striders, Lake Washington High School
June 8 – WTFA/ASA, Sparks Stadium, Puyallup
June 15 – Xtreme Speed, Kent Meridian HS
June 21-23 Junior Olympic Association meet, Mt. Tahoma HS Stadium
July 4-7 Junior Olympic Region 13 meet (tentatively Mt Hood Community College, Gresham, OR)
July 22-28 Junior Olympic T&F Nationals, Texas A&M, College Station, TX
*Optional and dependent on qualification from pervious June Olympic qualifying meet
Cost
The cost of the program is $400 and this includes a racing top, all training sessions and track meet fees outside of the Junior Olympic track meets. Our team store will open a few weeks before the season begins and will have Bluebirds warm ups, hats and other team gear.
