The Mercer Island Bluebirds Cross Country team had an impressive first season in 2021. We competed in six invitationals and had many top ten finishes. It was incredible to see our athletes improve throughout the season and make wonderful friendships along the way.

 

Our 2022 cross country season was equally as impressive with our 9-10 girls along with several other individuals advancing to the Junior Olympic Regionals. We had two athletes compete in Nationals in College Station, TX with a 11th place All American finish in the 9-10 boys division. Aside from the strong racing and improvements across the board, the athletes showed genuine enthusiasm for one another. Once races were finished, Bluebirds could be spotted running all over the course screaming encouragements for their teammates. I could not be more proud of our Bluebirds cross country competitors!

 

Join us for a fun filled season of running, sportsmanship and fun racing with friends. 

 

Runners K-8th grade and of all levels and abilities are welcome the only requirement is a love of running!

Tuesday/Thursday 4:30pm-5:30pm at Luther Burbank

Saturday 8:30am-9:30am at Island Crest Park Turf*

*on Saturdays we do not have XC meets

Cost-$400 includes race fees (with the exception of post season Junior Olympic cross country meets), all training sessions and a uniform top
